In 1992, he began working for various small companies in the Grand Rapids area providing accounting, bookkeeping and tax services, eventually transferring his workload, staff and clients to a big eight accounting firm.  

In 2004, the opportunity to re-enter private practice arose and Doug continues to offer private clients the benefits of his experience and expertise in tax and accounting services.  Working independently has given Doug the flexibility to offer his clients the services they need while giving each the diligence and attention they deserve.

Doug's 15 years of experience is a tremendous asset to clients and investors who rely upon solid financial and tax information to enable sound business decisions.  

Doug is an avid runner, and spends as much time as possible at the beach during those hot summer months.  Doug takes barbecue to a new level by catering for events and he competes in the national amateur barbecue circuit and has won several top honors for his efforts.
